Faerie Card Reading for the Week of September 4 – 10, 2017

Card: Earthworm – from The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit cards by Kim Krans.

“This card is a reminder not to be intimidated or lose hope. Mastery takes time, and you’re on the right track. Besides, rumor has it betginner’s mind offers the most valuable insights.”

Message from the Faeries: A lot of people think of the earthworm as being at the bottom of the food chain. They are food for the birds, and a kitty like the one in this picture would like to play with the worm and maybe make a snack out of it.

It is true that worms are food, but if you dig a little deeper, and watch the worms, you know that they play a much more important role in the web of life.Worms make the rich soil that allows food to grow! Without the worms, there wouldn’t be all the lush green. There would be no plants! There would be no life!

So, if you are feeling small and insignificant, or if you feel like all the things that you say or do amounts to nothing, please remember that you are an important part of the web of life. Your life has meaning and a deeper significance than you can possibly imagine. It’s hard to see the big picture, especially when you are down in the dirt, but please know that you matter. Your life has great purpose and meaning.

Keep up all your hard work, and soon you will see things grow and blossom out of all your hard work.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of April 24 – 30, 2017

Card: 21 Earth Bound – from The Secret Dakini Oracle by Nik Douglas and Penny Slinger.

“The surface of the earth viewed from space lies below. Above the horizon the orb of a new earth is seen as if suspended in the darkness of the night. This symbolizes the beginning inherent in every completed cycle. As we step out of one situation, beyond our roots (suggested by the surface of the earth), the next moment manifests itself in the completeness of the new perspective. By our nature we are destined to return to the earth until the completion of the cycles of incarnation. “

Message from the Faeries: We’ve noticed in your recent history that you’ve been celebrating something called “Earth Day”. We find this amusing to say the least. For one, every day should be Earth Day and it should be celebrated with much love and reverence. Secondly, having one day a year to contemplate the very thing that keeps you alive seems a bit on the neglectful side of the spectrum. We realize, though, that you’ve only begun observing Earth Day because Earth seems more fragile than ever to you.

Here is the thing: it is your life that is far more fragile than Earth. Earth is strong and powerful and will still be here when you are gone. Earth is not immortal, but your life will seem quite meaningless when all is said done in comparison. You need planet Earth. Your very life depends on her. But yet, Earth does not need you. She loves you and wants to support you, but her life does not depend on you.

Some of you spend a decent amount of time thinking about the future and thinking about space, or thinking about how to improve Earth. It’s best practice to think about the here and now,  because this is where you are. Think about what you are doing now. How are you going to make your home, Earth, priority number one? When was the last time you paid your respects to Earth? What have you done for her lately? She is a living being and she, more than anyone else in your life, deserves all the love.

We sincerely don’t understand how you don’t bow down in reverence to her each and every day. Perhaps it’s because you are connected to the cosmos and you know that your consciousness expands beyond space and time and goes beyond the universe. While this is true, you are also paradoxically bound to Earth karmically. As long as you are here, you are here…until you aren’t anymore. So be here, now.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of August 8 – 14, 2016

Card: Earth King – from the Mystical Cats Tarot by Lunaea Weatherstone.

“Others count on your practicality and stability. Take stock of your material well-being to assure continued prosperity, including having enough to share. You will find a strong sense of satisfaction in helping others feel secure and safe, whether in the home, the workplace, or the wider community.”

Message from the Faeries: This week is all about being generous. Don’t be cheap and frugal this week. Be generous with whatever resources you have to offer.  If you have extra time, give that to a friend. If you can spare a dime, give it to a stranger. If you made too much food, give some to your neighbourhood. If you have extra energy, put it towards other people.

Some of you might be saying right now: I don’t have anything to offer this week, I’m depleted of everything. Anything you can give others is a blessing. Even if it’s just a hug or a smile. Smile to a stranger that looks like they are having a rotten day. Give a loved one a hug. It may not feel like you have anything to give, but we promise that you do. Every gesture counts!

Why is it so important to give? Despite the obvious reasons that it’s just a nice thing to do and it helps other people, it also greatly benifit a you. When you are generous to others and give freely of you abundance, you are communicating to the Universe that you are not afraid of losing anything because you trust and know that the supply of abundance is never ending.

The moment you are afraid to give, and when you become miserly with your abundance, you are saying that you are afraid that there isn’t enough for you and everyone else. This can result in either you losing your abundance and blocking the flow of receiving more abundance, or it can result in you becoming unhappy and constantly feeling a void of hunger for more more more – never feeling satisfied.

There is plenty of everything to go around for everyone, so don’t be afraid to share, and be prepared to receive in return. Keep it flowing!

We love you,

The Faeries
