Faerie Card Reading for the Week of January 9 – 15, 2017

Message from the Faeries: The card for this week is a continuation of our messages from last couple of weeks. The Ace of Winter, which is the same as the Ace of Swords, is most accurate card in the whole tarot deck that we could pick for you right now. 

We want to think of yourself, or envision yourself, to be like the faerie in this card. You are starting the year with clarity of mind and the strength and wisdom that will carry you through this year. The faerie already has one foot forward and is ready to take on whatever comes her way. She is already in her place of power, and is calmly poised to face her journey.

Beside the faerie is a baby tiger, and the faerie herself is quite young. This represents the fact that they are at the beginning of a journey.  This is a new chapter in your life. Many things that you will see and do will be new to you, this year. Some of it will fun and exciting, other things you see might be a bit scary. Don’t ever be afraid though. You have all the wisdom and clarity to see through these situations for what they really are. With clarity comes peace of mind. 

The most important piece of advice we could give you right now, and for the rest of this year, is that we highly recommend that you have a daily meditation practice if you don’t have one already. You should spend a minimum of 15 minutes a day doing prayer and meditation. Ideally you would do 30 minutes to an hour. 15 minutes will help you coast through the year, but and hour will have you get through it with barely a scratch. 

Meditation and prayer will help not only you, but also those around you, and in the end it helps everyone. You will have a sharper mind, you will feel a lot more peaceful and calm, and you will feel much better all around. If you don’t know how to meditate, there are lots of resources out there for you to explore. Find what works best for you. You may also want to try a group medication practice in your area.

Faerie Tarot Card Reading for the Week of November 14 – 20, 2016

“The cup as a container symbolizes the management of your feelings, resulting in emotional equilibrium. Emotional stability, like the river, means going with the natural flow of your feelings. Yet, like the duck case, ride on top of these emotional waters, particularly during the blues and the unexpected twists and bogs in the river of life. This requires meditative state of mind and heart, to be feeling and apart from your feelings as you acknowledge them without judgement.”

Message from the Faeries: How are feeling these days? We sense a lot of anxiety and anger and fear from a lot of you these days. Whatever it is that you are feeling, there is no judgement from us. These are turbulent times and it’s easy to get emotionally and mentally caught up in the crashing waves. 

This week, we want to remind you once again that it is important that you try not to get to carried away with these strong emotions you are experiencing. Meditation is a really great tool to help you stay afloat and keep your head above the water. Take the time to sit and be quiet. Take lots of deep breathes and watch your emotion and thoughts. Feel your feelings and think your thoughts but there is no need to hold on to them and dwell on them. Let go and move on. Do this as much as you need to. 

We warned you previously that some not so nice things were coming down the line, globally, and we don’t see this trend ending any time soon. We aren’t trying to be doom and gloom, we are just keeping things real. Here is the thing to keep in mind: things are always constantly moving and changing. Sometimes these changes are perceived as good and sometimes they perceived as bad. From our perspective changes and shifting is always happening and it is neither good nor bad. 

While you may not have control over events that happen globally, or even what happens to you personally, you do have a choice in how you carry yourself. You have the ability to change and modify your perception. You have the will to not become a slave to your emotions. It’s okay to feel afraid of something, but staying in that fear is to your detriment. 

Being accepting of the changes that are happening is one way to not get caught up in the waves of chaos. We aren’t talking about giving up, and we aren’t talking about giving in. What we mean is: be the observer. Watch things unfold and step outside of it. Accept that you can’t change what has happened, and then come to a resolve. What are you going to do to make things work for you? What are you going to do to ease your anxiety? What are you going to do to make changes you need to happen? But don’t sit there and wallow in the depths of despair. This isn’t going to help you or anyone else. Tranform this energy of despair and let it propel you to greatness.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of May 30 – June 5, 2016

Card: XI Consequences – from the Mystical Cats Tarot by Lunaea Weatherstone. 

“Look to your actions and assess what their long-term consequences may be. Are you making responsible and ethical choices? Are you paying attention to where you are headed? Be careful that you do not pick up unwanted entanglements that will complicate things and heed your progress. Be aware that the way things are begun influences their ultimate outcome.”

Message from The Faeries: The cat in this card has gotten itself all tangled up because it wasn’t paying attention. It was having fun  in the moment playing with the yarn, not realizing it was getting all wrapped up. Of course, the imagery is metaphorical. 

This cat reminds you to pay attention. Pay attention to what you say, do or think. There is going to be a cause and effect to everything you say or do, but don’t forget that your thoughts also cause a reaction. Everything is connected. If you aren’t paying attention all the time, then you are not able to see the big picture. 

Here is an example. Let’s say that one day you aren’t feeling well or you aren’t in a good mood. First of all, if you are having lots of negative thoughts, you are going to attract negative situations. If you have no control over your thoughts and feelings, how are you going to have control over whatever else is going to happen to you? You can see how easily your day can spiral out of control. We hear most of you complain that bad things are just randomly happening to you, but we can see that most of the time you have very much helped to create these situations. 

It all begins with you. Check yourself before you wreck yourself. If you are feeling grumpy or you are unhappy- it’s okay to feel that way if you want to – but be mindful not to project it or feed into it. You are only making things worse for yourself. Take control of yourself and be responsible for yourself. Be responsible for your thoughts, feelings, actions and words. 

We’ve heard people say: I’m not responsible for other people’s thoughts and feelings. This is true, to some extent. However if you are feeling grumpy and you say a mean thing to someone – your words are your responsibility. So, if that person you are mean to decides to not hang out with you – it’s their choice, but you helped create that situation. Everything is connected and has a effect on each other. 

Please practice being mindful. Helpful hint: meditation really helps with this.

Message from the Faeries: It’s been an exciting time lately. Lots of fun energies swirling about the Universe lately. Some intense energies as well. There have been lots of big shifts and movement happening all around. It’s been such a flurry of activity these days and maybe some of you haven’t been taking  the time out to pay attention to what’s going on internally. 

This week, right now, would be a really good time to sit and to take some deep breaths. It’s fun to get all caught up in the fun energies, and we fully encourage it, but don’t let it take over and take a hold of you. When you find yourself riding that big wave, don’t forget that you are the one in control of your surf board. You can enjoy the ride, but you are allowed to hop off whenever you feel like it. 

Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed and out of control. Take the time to check in with yourself. Meditation is such a great way to take that ultimate time-out. Sit down for a few minutes each day and check in with yourself. How are you feeling? What’s your body telling you? What is your spirit telling you? Be quiet and listen.

It’s easy to get distracted by all the other things that are happening all around you. You might be focusing a lot on things happening at home, at work, with family or friends. While it’s natural to pay attention to your external world, don’t forget to pay attention to what’s going on inside. Are you distracting yourself with other things and avoiding your own needs? 

We hope you make some time for yourself this week to just sit, be quiet, and listen to yourself. What’s going on with you? What needs aren’t being met? Take care of yourself.
